Resume, LinkedIn, Trailblazer: three profiles, three jobs

Most job-search advice assumes you have one story to tell. The resume: the tailored spear

• Achievement-dense. Every line earns its place with a result, quantified. No throat-clearing.

LinkedIn: the standing shopfront

LinkedIn is the opposite of the resume: public, evergreen, and built for inbound. Over 95% of recruiters use it to find and vet candidates, it is usually the first result when someone Googles your name, and it is the first thing a hiring manager opens after your resume.

• Optimise for discovery, not one role. A headline with concrete skills — "Salesforce Admin | Flow & Service Cloud | 5x Certified" — makes a sourcing recruiter stop scrolling. Bland titles get skipped.
• Broader than any single application. Where the resume narrows to one posting, LinkedIn holds the whole range so you surface for more searches.
• Carries social proof the resume can't — recommendations, endorsements, and a visible network.
• Read by: recruiters searching, and anyone double-checking you. If you have made your SFCV resume public, the talent directory plays the same discovery role inside the Salesforce ecosystem.

The Trailblazer profile: the proof layer

This is the artifact unique to the ecosystem — and the one people underuse. A Trailblazer profile is the single, verified source of truth for your Salesforce credentials: certifications, superbadges, and rank, all confirmed by Salesforce rather than self-reported.
